Who is Real Properties Investment Group?

Our Mission
The mission of Real Properties Investment Group is to assemble a group of like- minded individual investors to amass a pool of funds to be used for the direct acquisition of Residential Real Estate and to take advantage of the current and future depressed Chicago Real Estate Market. It is the intent that by renting, managing, renovating when necessary, and eventually selling the foreclosed upon, bank owned, short sale and distressed Single Family Homes and Apartment buildings acquired by “The Group” to realize favorable rates of return for the investors while minimizing individual risk for each member. 

Administration
The administrators of Real Properties Investment Group consist of three principal
Team Leaders whose goal is to utilize a combined 70 years of experience in the Chicagoland Real Estate Market to maximize the profits of the investment group by conducting property identification, financial projection, acquisition, development, management, rehabilitation, sales of properties, and all financial accounting and reporting to “The Group,” while minimizing risk by diversification of the properties to be held within the pool. The Team of administrators is as follows:

Mr. Lawrence E. Madden
Mr. Madden has over 26 years of experience in both the local and national real estate industries, with credentials that include being an Illinois Licensed Realtor for 20 years; Broker/Owner of Real Properties Realty Group, Inc. for nine years; President of Real Properties Custom Home Builders for 10 years; Vice President of Purchasing for nationally recognized Kimball Hill Homes, Inc.; Development Coordinator for Builders Group/Builders Concrete Inc.; and, as Mortgage Consultant for Suburban Metro Mortgage, he was responsible for providing and administering builder forward money to Town and Country Homes.

Mr. Scott I. McPhee
After acquiring his MBA in Finance from DePaul University, McPhee started as a Construction Manager and worked his way up through the ranks at Kimball Hill Homes, Inc., achieving the position of Vice President of Finance for this nationally recognized firm. He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of Accounting and Cost/Profit projection for the national home builder. For the past 10 years, McPhee has been Co-Owner of Real Properties Custom Home Builders, and Co-Owner of Real Properties Realty Group, Inc. He’s been an Illinois Licensed Realtor since 2001.

Mr. Kerry Koranda
Mr. Koranda brings over 20 years of experience in the Real Estate valuation and development fields to the Administration Team. His career highlights include starting as a Staff Appraiser for Mid America Bank (for 10 years) concentrating in single- and multi- family investment property valuation and transitioning to a Lead Developer for M.A.F. Developments Inc.  Koranda oversaw the development of three large residential single-family communities that include the very successful Tall Grass of Naperville, Shenandoah of Plainfield, and Springbank subdivision also of Plainfield. Koranda was also President of both Shenandoah and Springbank subdivisions’ Home Owners’ Associations, as well as President of architectural review for both communities.
Koranda is currently an Illinois Licensed Broker Associate with real Properties Realty Group, Inc.

Desired Investors
The Investors being sought as a member of “The Group” must consider themselves a “Patient Partner.”  This is not a get rich quick scheme.  This Group is based on a long- term commitment of capital. The goal of “The Group” is to provide a sustainable rate of return which will increase in direct correlation with the inevitable rebound of the Real Estate Market as the economy climbs back from the current recession. The investor in “The Group” understands that by creating a diverse pool of real estate holdings while prices and mortgage interest rates are at historic lows, we will minimize risk of initial principle that, over time, will result in respectable overall rates of return for all its members.
